menu_art_yAll you gamers were watching the game files right through your run, weren’t you?

N-no? Tsk.

Act Two is so active that few people can keep up with it. For instance, there’s

right at the start but I can’t trust this file 100% as it’s a secondary source.

It’s similar to the one after Sayori departed the club. Shorter, too.

After the first poem of this act, if you recall, it was my Ghost Under the Light … anyway, everybody’s favourite catchphrase appears in the game files:

That phrase just resonates through  this entire saga. In dialogue, in a Special poem. Oh, but you know that, don’t you.

M-my favourite is the long monologue, but never mind my preference.

“There’s a little devil inside all of us.”

Beneath their manufactured perception – their artificial reality – is a
writhing, twisted mess of dread. Loathing. Judgment. Elitism. Self-doubt.
All thrashing to escape the feeble hold of their host, seeping through every
little crevice they can find. Into their willpower, starving them of all
motivation and desire. Into their stomach, forcing them to drown their guilt in
comfort food. Or into a newly-opened gash in their skin, hidden only by the
sleeves of a cute new shirt.
Such a deplorable, tangled mass is already present in every single one of them.
That’s why I choose not to blame myself for their actions.

All I did was untie the knot.

But wait, there’s more …

“have a nice weekend”

insinuates itself into the game files close to the end of Act Two.

Say what?! Ahahaha, a plaintext encoded as base64 and diddled by a Vigenere cipher with the keyword libitina. (Where have I heard that before? Thinks.)

What is a man without knowing the rich aroma of the future; the hot, complex balance of the present; and the bittersweet aftertaste of the past?

And as a last fillip for this page:

this image could crawl up (or is it down, out of sync) the right side of the page for a few frames.
